Ist das  #Pop  #Ballade  #Reggae oder #Singersongwriter Genre, oder vielleicht einfach nur ein Song der berührt und pur mit Gitarre am Lagerfeuer, im Busking Style in der City oder mit Band im Club funktioniert?

Deutschsprachige Reggae Musik – geht das? Ja. Obwohl die Einflüsse von Marley, Dillinger, Black Uhuru Burning Spear, Toots & The Maytals klar erkennbar sind, und auch das Jammen mit Musikern aus Jamaica und der Karibik seine Spuren in den Songs hinterlassen hat, schafft der Grenzgänger André George es, den Roots Reggae ins Land zu holen, ohne ihn gefangen zu nehmen.

One Love – das, und die chilllige Spiritualität sind die Botschaften, die er übernimmt und weitergibt. Die Themen sind gleichwohl aktuell („Solidarität“, „Gelassenheit“, „Es geht nicht weiter“) wie ewig („Ballon“) oder auch hoffnungsvoll, wie „Ich kann es sehen“ und „Alte Lieder“. 

Der Sänger und Gitarrist ist schon seit Jahren in der deutschen Reggae- und Popszene unterwegs und auf den großen Festivals präsent. Ob Auftritte beim Ruhr Reggae Summer in Dortmund, beim Summerjam in Köln, oder dem Reeperbahnfestival in Hamburg, seine Musik ist immer kompatibel, weil sie den Song in den Mittelpunkt stellt.

But is he all that fictional tough ? He appears to look more and more like a common avatar of the 3 musicians. The tone hardens, the atmosphere becomes more melancholic, and the lyrics embrace bitterness and anger. If this episode is called « PASSIVE » despite its obvious energy, what can be expected of the next chapter that will close the trilogy « AGRESSIVE », coming in october ?  SINGER dBOY ABOUT THIS ALBUM : « Our new double album « PASSIVE/AGRESSIVE », as well as the first album, talks about the Peter Pan syndrome and the difficulty of growing up. Our main character is constantly caught up in the past, repeats the same mistakes over and over again and ends up not being able to move forward in his life. It is no mystery that the band’s music constantly looks for influences in the past 80’s for that reason. ABOUT « STUPID SONGS » MUSIC VIDEO Can doubtful musical taste put your life in danger of dying? At least that’s what it looks like in this new music video from the Parisian trio JE T’AIME who invited the singer Ophelia from coldwavers Saigon Blue Rain to sing (and sigh) in front of the camera. Or is it simply a schizophrenic delusion of a lovesick singer? You’ll be the judge.
